Kandies was founded by Jacquisha Blackwell in 2019 and officially established in 2022. What began as a dream turned into a journey fueled by passion and hard work. To fund my culinary school education, I started selling dinners every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday right out of my kitchen. After graduating, I landed my first corporate catering account and quickly gained more clients through trust, dedication, and exceptional service. As Kandies grew, so did our mission. We became committed to not just serving great food but also giving back to the community. Through catering and community programs, we’ve built strong partnerships with schools and nonprofits, offering support where it’s needed most. Our cookie fundraisers, for example, have helped schools enhance student learning experiences, while our collaborations with Detroit nonprofits have made a lasting impact in our city.
